Functions

Inbound is situated at the Toowoomba Railway Station and is the ideal venue for events and weddings.  From picturesque photo opportunities, to canapes on the platform, to enjoying your individually designed menu in the heritage dining room, Inbound provides the complete package.  When planning your event, large or small, the team at Inbound are committed to ensuring your event is unique and memorable.  The heritage listed building lends itself to beautiful weddings, intimate dinners, black tie functions, formal banquets, high teas, birthday celebrations and themed events.  With the use of the well covered platforms, you can add that extra dimension to your function.
  • At Inbound, the venue seats a maximum of 150 guests in the dining hall.  There is also a private dining room available which seats up to 30 guests.  Menus for sit down meals are available on request, or we can design one to suit your needs.
  • For cocktail style events, details are below.  Approximate maximum number of guests is around 200 for this style of celebration.   We are happy to meet with you to discuss options, pricing and availability for your event.

Cocktail Food/ Canapé Functions

Basic charges:

Whole venue booking:

On Fridays and Saturdays, there is a room hire fee of $600 and the venue would be available for a 5 hour time frame.  (For times over this, there is a room hire charge of $250 per extra hour, or part thereof.)  Our mandatory close time is 11:30pm due to liquor licence conditions.

If the function is for 100 guests or more, the initial room hire is reduced to $300.

 

If you are wanting  a mid week booking, please discuss room hire pricing with us.

Part venue booking:

Cocktail Food/ Canapé Functions for small groups who are wanting to use the function area of the main restaurant during our normal opening hours, it is understood that other guests will also be in the venue, and as such, use of microphones for speeches, individualised music and entertainment is not available if it infringes on other people’s dining experience.  There is a hire fee of $300 and the area would be available for a 5 hour time frame.  (For times over this, there is a room hire charge of $250 per extra hour, or part thereof.)  Our mandatory close time is 11:30pm due to liquor licence conditions.

Please discuss this option with us if you only wish to use a section of the venue, rather than hiring the entire premises.

 

Minimum guest numbers:

We ask for a minimum of 50 paying adult guests or equivalent spend.  (Less than 50 guests may attract an extra fee.  This amount depends on numbers attending and staffing requirements.  Please feel free to discuss your requirements.  If we can accommodate your group, we would be happy to do so.)

 

Food options:

 

Option 1: Light cocktail food for short time frame functions:

(This option is not available for longer timed  functions over  a three hour time frame).

Choose 4, 6 or 8 items from the list (at the end of this info section) at a cost of:

$17 per person for 4 items,

$22 for 6 items or

$27 for 8 items.

This is a lighter style cocktail food option (ie not meal quantities ) and is only available for functions on short time frames, e.g. 2-3 hours.

 

Option 2:

Alternatively, for longer time frame functions (up to 5 hours), we offer more substantial quantities of the menu items (eg meal quantities) and the costs would be:

$22 for 4 items

$26 for 6 items

$32 for 8 items

 

Option 3:

 

Include a round of sliders with the either of the above options.  This would cost $6 extra per person.  The selection includes:

 

Beef with caramelized onion, aged cheddar

Pulled pork with apple sauce, smokey paprika mayonnaise

Crumbed chicken, smashed avocado

All include green oak lettuce, fresh tomato    

 

The food would normally be served over a period of 3 hours.

 

Drinks:

 

Groups usually have a bar tab system for drinks or a cash drinks system.

 

With the bar tab, we work within the limitations and budgetary constraints you set.  We stay in contact with you throughout the event, so you know what the bar tab amount is at any given time.  We do not go over your specified amount without your permission.  If guests wish to have drinks that are not included in your bar tab, they are able to purchase these on a cash basis.

 

With the cash drinks system, guests pay for their drinks as they order.

 

Alternatively, we can organise a system that suits your needs – eg drinks on arrival and then a cash bar situation.  Please discuss your preferences with us.  We will do our best to meet your needs.

 

Finally, you may consider a drinks package.  A standard beverage package includes the following

2 hours: $29 per person

These packages can be adjusted with premium beers, with additional cost, if desired.

Soup shooters: Cauliflower and truffle oil; roasted tomato and basil; Thai style pumpkin (Attracts a surcharge of $1.50 per person) (Can be done GF – please ask)

Please note that birthday cakes or other food is not permitted to be brought in due to our health regulations and insurance conditions.  If you would like us to provide  a birthday cake, please talk to us about the possibilities.

Menu includes Garlic and basil bread to start, and brewed tea and coffee to finish.

(Please note: We are not open on Christmas Day.)

Darling Downs beef, seared with basil and seeded mustard, caramelised onion tart, port wine jus
